Oyo’s Speaker, ALGON Chair, Commissioners, Others Attend Hon AKT Mega Empowerment Scheme In Lagelu

As part of the efforts to curb unemployment, idleness and poverty in his constituency, Honourable Olajide Akintunde Emmanuel AKT; Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Lagelu State Constituency who is also Chairman, House Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters and State Honours has decided to put smiles on the faces of the people of his constituency by flagging off empowerment program tagged “AKT STRATEGY SUPPORT PROGRAM (AKT-SSP)” to the artisans, Market Men and Women Association in Lagelu and Youth respectively.
The event was held today; Friday 12th of January 2024 at his Constituency office, Kajola, Iwo road, Ibadan.
In his welcome address, Hon. AKT gives the utmost glory to God who has made everything possible to this extent and also shows his gratefulness heart to His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State; The Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin; All the leaders of our great party at both state and local levels; PDP members in Lagelu State Constituency and Oyo State for their advices and supports.
He furthered that, AKT-SSP came up after a series of research on how his people from nooks and crannies of Lagelu Constituency would benefit from dividend of democracy in a way to ease the present economy hardship in the country.
He continued that, he discovered many trained Artisans are unable to practice their profession due to no tools and equipments to operate and to ease this, he has made provisions to spread this AKT-SSP to all the 225 polling units in Lagelu Local Government by choosing beneficiaries from all these units and it’s covered all the Artisans Association, the Traditional Rulers (Lagelu), the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN (Lagelu), the League of Imam and Alfas (Lagelu), the Traditional Worshippers Association (Lagelu), the Market Men and Women Association (Lagelu), the People with Disability (Lagelu) and the Association of Patent Medicine Dealers-NAPPMED (Lagelu)
In conclusion of his address, he said all he needs from all the good people of Lagelu State Constituency is their Support, Patience and Prayers, so he can be able to do more.

In his own speech; The Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin commends Hon. AKT for this initiatives and said, this is the first of it’s kind among all the Honourable members of the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly and said Hon. AKT did all these from his personal money, he prayed that, this is the begining and it will be the smallest among those he is going to do in the nearest future.
The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Gbadamosi Kazeem Adeyemi described Hon. AKT as the man of his words, the person that makes a promise and fulfil it without bias and gives kudos to him for the initiatives.
The chairman of the ALGON in Oyo State, The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government said, Hon. AKT is a grassroot politician that we all need to support at all times. He now charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the working tools.
Chief Wulemot Ibitoye, the State Women Leader in Oyo State commends Hon. AKT and makes good use of the program opportunities to present our incoming local government candidates (Hon. Kamorudeen Mudasiru/Sadiq) to the general public in attendance by saying they needed our support as we are doing to the present ones and also told the beneficiaries of the empowerment program to use the items given to them judiciously
In her own remark; The Honourable Commissioner for Women affairs in Oyo State, Hon. Mrs Toyin Balogun said, if all politicians be like Hon. AKT lives would have be easier for every citizens in their jurisdictions.
Worthy of note at the event today was the presentation of AKT-SSP to the following beneficiaries; Sewing Machines to Mr Ade Adebayo presented by Rt. Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin; Freezer to Mrs Bisi Atoyebi by Hon. Sanda; Grinding Machine to Mr. Segun Jolasanmi by Hon. RAD and lots of cash.
Dignitaries at the events were; Rt. Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin, Hon. Sanda (ALGON chairman in Oyo State), Hon. Gbadamosi Kazeem Adeyemi (Lagelu Local Government chairman), Hon. Kamorudeen Mudasiru (Lagelu chairmanship candidate), Hon. Sodiq (Vice Chairmanship candidate), Hon. Tiamy, Hon. RAD, Hon. Lambash, Hon. Falowo (Lagelu party chairman), Baba Kenfab, Hon. Olatoye Big Daddy Sugar, Hon. Wasilat (Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State), Hon. Micheal Ogunsina (State Party youth leader and Acting PRO), Rev. Ibikunle and all party faithfuls from local and state levels.
Traditional leaders present were; Oba Onilagun of Lagun, Olodo-Oba of Odo-Oba, Ololorunda of Olorunda, Onilalupon of Lalupon, Alapatere of Apatere, onijagun of Jagun and Onikajola of Kajola.
