    OYTMA DISTRIBUTES FACE MASKS TO DRIVERS, MOTORCYCLISTS, OTHERS FOR FREE IN IBADAN

    The Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYTRMA), in collaboration with the National Bag Makers Association of Nigeria has commenced the free distribution of Face Masks specially designed to be used by Motorcycle operators, Tricycle riders and commercial drivers in support of the State Government in its efforts in containing the spread of the COVID-19.

    GOALPOCHER NEWS reports that the event which took place this Friday, at the Trailer Park of the Agency, located at Sanyo area of Ibadan,  had in attendance various Transport operators.

    In his remark,the Chairman, Oyo State Transport Management Authority, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, maintained that the virus could easily spread through the means of transportation and poor hygiene.

    The OYTMA Boss, therefore, charged the transport operators to adhere strictly to the number of passengers to be conveyed, as directed by the state COVID-19 TASK FORCE, while making use of the face mask given to them to help safeguard and prevent the spread of the virus and dust while discharging their duties.

    The Co-donor of the masks, totaling about five thousand pieces, Comrade Kola Olayemi, opined that the fight against the pandemic should be a collective effort and also promised to provide more if the

    Various transport operators present at the flag-off promised to properly use the facemask and adhere strictly to the directives of the state government on COVID-19.
