PDP Oyo East/West Assembly Candidate, Olorunpoto Pens Condolence Message To Oyo Residents, Muslim Ummah Over Demise of Chief Imam

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Oyo East/Oyo West state Constituency, Olorunpoto Rahaman has commiserated with the  Oyo Ummah, the immediate and extended family of baba Imam, the Imam Ajokidero and Imam Akeugberu Compounds, and all the associates and friends of our respected spiritual leader on this unfortunate occurrence.

 

Olorunpoto’s condolence message was contained in a statement signed by him and made available to GOAL POACHER NEWS on Thursday described the late religious leader as pillar or order and peace in Oyo Zone. The statement read:

 

‘Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un

“In the early hours of today, Oyo was awoken to the sad news of the demise of Sheik (Dr) Masood Adebayo Ajokidero, the Chief Imam of Oyo Land, a pillar of order and peace in the land.

 

“By this statement, I announce the sadness I feel over the Chief Imam’s demise and commiserate with the Oyo Ummah, the immediate and extended family of Baba Imam, the Imam Ajokidero and Imam Akeugberu Compounds, and all the associates and friends of our respected spiritual leader on this unfortunate occurrence.

 

“All souls will taste death, it is a promise of Almighty Allah and we accept His will. But to lose a father-leader who represented the very best of Oyo values and the finest of Islam, we are all left heartbroken.

 

“Yet, as we mourn and pray for Allah’s mercies upon Baba Imam, we must reflect on his exemplary life and his imamship. Aside offering himself to bring peace to many homes through his advice and mediations, he was a pillar that held various segments of Oyo together. He was a complete man of peace. He birthed moral revival among the Ummah and initiated various programmes and projects to serve the cause of Islam and Oyo, including in the areas of public healthcare and education and worship.

 

Baba Imam’s legacies will endure.

 

“In honour of the Chief Imam and expression of sympathy for the Ummah, we shall suspend our (PDP Oyo West/Oyo East) campaign activities for two days. We stand united mourning and in solidarity with everyone mourning the monumental loss.

 

“My prayer to Allah is that He forgive Baba Imam’s shortcomings and accept him among those He will show mercy and afford him a place in the best of the Jannah. May Allah comfort Baba’s family, the Ummah, and the entire Oyo at this difficult time.

 

“BISMILLAH QUL HU ALLAH META (Surah Ikhlas three times) for Baba.”
