Pick Passengers at “Unauthorized Spot” Get Arrested – Tommy Warns Interstate Drivers in Oyo

 



 

The Chairman Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), Alh. Amb. Abdul-Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa has taken a decisive step to combat the rising incidents of robbery, kidnapping and killing by one-chance drivers in Oyo State. The Voicesnews reports.

While addressing PMS executives and members in his office at New Garge, Podo, Ibadan, on Monday,  Tommy, emphasized the need for vigilance, particularly among interstate chairmen. He cautioned against buses, taxis, bikes, and personal vehicles picking up passengers at unauthorized spots.

To tackle this issue, Amb. Tommy directed all task forces to arrest and hand over to the police any unauthorized vehicles, including bikes, taxis, and buses, operating at unauthorized locations.

This move aims to ensure the safety and security of citizens, particularly commuters, and to curb the growing menace of robbery, kidnapping and killing in Oyo State by unknown individuals with the use of unauthorized vehicles at an unauthorized location.

The PMS Chairman’s warning comes amidst concerns over the rising case of robbery, kidnapping and killing in the state.

He gives measures to enhance security of lives and properties of drivers and passages in the state.

To further strengthen that the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS) will:

Intensify surveillance at major parks and bus terminals
Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices in preventing kidnapping and killing
By taking these proactive steps, the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS) Chairman, Amb. Tommy aims to create a safer and more secure environment for PMS executives, members, citizens and visitors alike.
