The Oyo State Police command has announced the release of the Twins of an Ibadan Islamic cleric and the immediate past chairman, Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muslim Wing, Sheikh Taofeeq Akeugbagold in the early hours of Sunday morning from their abductors.
The command Public Relation Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi in a chat with GOALPOACHER NEWS, said,
“I can confirm to you that the twins have been released unhurt and reunited with their parents”
“The command wishes to assure the general public that concerted efforts are on to apprehend the perpetrators of this crime and bring them to book”
However, neither the family nor police confirmed if ransom was paid to the kidnappers before the kids were released.
You recall Taiwo and Kehinde were kidnapped around 8:30PM on Saturday 25th April,2020 at Abatakan Community, Ojoo, Ibadan at gunpoint.
