Stop Using Alleluyah’s Name to Sell Yourself – Group Blasts Agbarapo Over Failed Ambition
A political pressure group in Oke-Ogun, Justice and Equity Forum, has taken a swipe at Hon. Samuel Adejumobi, popularly known as Agbarapo, describing his recent outburst against Senator Hosea Ayoola Agboola (Alleluyah) as a petty attempt to stay politically relevant after suffering rejection and failure in his past ambitions.
The group, made up of key political, professional and religious stakeholders from the Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State, accused Agbarapo of hypocrisy, bitterness, and deception, revealing that he once begged for Senator Alleluyah’s backing to pursue his 2023 House of Representatives ambition, only to turn around and publicly insult the same man after his political aspirations crashed.

According to the statement issued by the group’s leader, Adegbola Hussain: “Agbarapo is the real definition of betrayal. In 2022, he was moving from one political elder to another, lobbying desperately for Alleluyah’s blessing to contest for House of Reps.”
“Our principal turned him down because even in Atisbo, his own backyard, he was not seen as politically viable.

” Today, that same man is opening his mouth to insult the one who fed him politically.”
The group further alleged that Agbarapo’s current posturing as a 2027 governorship hopeful is nothing but a strategic gimmick to negotiate his way back into consideration for another House of Representatives ticket.
“Let’s call it what it is; Agbarapo’s governorship talk is a scam. He’s only using it to raise his price and force PDP leaders to hand him Reps ticket which has continued to elude him for years”
“But the people are watching. He has no structure, no followership, and no grassroots acceptability outside his family compound in Irawo.”
They slammed the former Majority Leader of Oyo Assembly for trying to erase the political relevance of Senator Agboola, a man they said remains “a towering figure in Oke-Ogun, Oyo State and national politics whose contributions can’t be washed away by political opportunists who resurfaced only during election season.”
“This is the same Alleluyah who has produced lawmakers, empowered hundreds, and built bridges across party lines.”
“Just because he didn’t dance to your selfish tune in 2023 doesn’t make him irrelevant. You didn’t complain when you were clapping in his living room seeking endorsements,” the group said.
“In case your forgot, Alleluyah was instrumental to your emergence as House of Assembly member in 2003-2007, our leader handed over the ticket of Atisbo/ Saki East Constituency to you on a platter of gold. Ever since then, have you won any election on your own personal capacity? What a shame!
They challenged Agbarapo to name any major election he has won without controversy or internal wrangling, saying his only political survival tactic has been to ride on the backs of stronger players and then act like a hero after the battle.
The forum reaffirmed its support for Senator Agboola’s decision to renounce his membership of the PDP in Oyo State and warned against using the governor’s name to cover up personal political failures.
“We will not allow any politician, no matter how loud, to rewrite history or insult those who sacrificed for the PDP when it wasn’t fashionable. Alleluyah stood his ground when others were selling out behind closed doors.”
They, however, advised Agbarapo to focus on his constituency and stop attempting to build a statewide ambition on a foundation of bitterness, failed lobbying, and political amnesia.
