Titilola-Sodo Hails Makinde For Paying 13th-month Salary to Workers, Chicken Allowance to Pensioners

In a remarkable show of commitment to workers’ welfare, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has once again gone above and beyond by paying the 13th-month salary for the fifth consecutive time.

Comrade Titilola-Sodo, the Special Adviser on Labour Affairs to the Governor, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the governor’s unwavering dedication to the well-being of the state’s workforce.

This exceptional gesture, coupled with the recently introduced chicken allowance to pensioners for the second time, showcases Governor Makinde’s commitment to ensuring that the hardworking citizens of Oyo State enjoy the fruits of their labor. The governor’s administration has consistently demonstrated a proactive approach to workers’ welfare, setting a commendable standard for other states to emulate.

Comrade Titilola-Sodo urged workers and labour leaders to always prioritize dialogue and peaceful engagements, highlighting the positive outcomes that can be achieved through collaboration between the government and labour unions.

It is worth noting that Governor Makinde’s administration has not only fulfilled but exceeded the promises made to workers, providing a six-month cash allowance of N25,000 and N15,000 to workers and pensioners, respectively.
