….Urges Commercial Drivers to Embrace Dialogue as Means of Conflict Resolution
Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi makinde has restated his commitment to ensure peace and tranquillity are maintained at every nook and cranny of the state by stamping out all forms of violence and brigandage.
Governor makinde who was represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, at a workshop training on social responsibility, team building and conflict management for Oyo state transport sector, held at the international conference center, university of ibadan on Thursday.
Makinde noted that security of lives and property was a challenge in the state and inorder to stem the unsavoury tide, the present administration has resolved to embrace dialogue as a way of conflict resolutions among the commercial drivers.
In his remark, the commissioner for Establishment and Training, Professor kehinde Sangodoyin, stressed that the training workshop will help the drivers to synergize with both the private and public sectors.
In their separate remarks, some of the participants who speak with journalists expressed their gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for allowing peace reign among the drivers in the state.
