“We’re Proud of You”— Oyo Youths Extol Amofin Beulah Adeoye’s Sterling Qualities
In furtherance of efforts to engage stakeholders for the advancement of Oyo State and Nigeria, the Ipapo-born legal luminary and financial expert, Amofin Beulah Adeoye met with youth stakeholders in the state in a ‘No-Holds-Barred’ gathering in Ibadan.
Amofin Beulah Adeoye is the President of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) seeking human capital development social security insurance through its various programmes and initiatives to better societies.
While taking the stakeholders present at the interactive session through his rich profile and vast experience in all strata of governance, Amofin Adeoye narrated his humble beginning and inspiring journey. According to him, determination, dedication, and commitment are some of the keys to success while not de-emphasizing the role of prayer.
The University of Ibadan trained lawyer, Beulah Adeoye, advocates for politics of development through the enhancement of commonwealth, which is crucial to a nation’s development as against the prevailing drive for individual wealth.
Interacting further and responding to questions from the youth stakeholders, the Financial Advisory Partner at Deloitte & Touche noted that national development is a journey which we must all work together to actualize.
Quoting some of his visionary ideas, Amofin Beulah Adeoye believes Oyo State’s potential and comparative advantages need to be unlocked for the good of the State and the country at large. Oyo state is blessed with vast arable land, ample sunshine, mineral resources, and welcoming and hardworking people. He commended the efforts of the amiable governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde at improving the road networks across all the geopolitical zones of the state, thereby fostering inclusive development.
“As we can see, one of the major problems identified was the poor road networks between villages and cities such as Iseyin in Oke-Ogun, which has been freshly networked to join Ogbomoso and the seamless drive to Ibadan. Iseyin to Oyo, Ido-Eruwa, Iwo Road to Oyo boundary with Osun, Ibadan Circular Road, and a host of others.”
Beulah Adeoye also hinted that “beyond roads and agriculture, there are so many areas of governance and economy that Oyo state should be exploring as the pace has been set by the current administration.”
Fielding questions about the performance of the current administration, Amofin Beulah Adeoye stated that the government was guided by its promises to the people in Omituntun 1.0 and 2.0 and that the records are there in the promises kept website of the administration to show the actualization of each of the promises made to the people of Oyo State by His Excellency Seyi Makinde. He referred the audience to these documents.
Joining the conversation were the Chairman of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Mr Adesola Ogundiran; the Director-General of BOAAT Movement, Alhaji Afeez Suberu; and the Women Leader of BOAAT Movement, Ms Iyabo Ishola.
