The Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Oluokun Peter Olusola has joined others to celebrate labour workers in the council area as they celebrate the year 2025 International Workers’ Day, while also welcoming residents to the month of May.
In his felicitation message to the workers made available through his Media Assistant, Adeleke Afees on Thursday, May 1, 2025, the council Boss said: “On behalf of the government, Staff and the great people of Oyo East Local Government, it is my delight to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Month.
“On this peculiar Workers’ Day, I hail the Nigeria labour force. Despite the factors militating against the works environment, you have continued to put in your best by creating wealth for the country. This has marked you out as great patriots, who, given the right environment would be at the forefront of launching Nigeria into her rightful place in terms of development.
“May I inform you that your sacrifices shall not be in vain as we have come to a more hopeful time . Hence, I urge you all to use this month to pray for peace, unity, and progress of the country.
By the grace of God, good things are coming through our commitment to the security of lives and properties, development of education, youths empowerment programs, infrastructural development, provisions of food security through our Agricultural adjustment initiative program in our dear local government . It is my prayer that the new month brings you and yours good tidings.
