World Tijaniyyah Movement Prays for Jubril Dotun Sanusi’s Guber Ambition, Distances Self From Malicious Publication
The World Tijaniyyah Movement, Oyo State Chapter, has expressed strong support for the gubernatorial ambition of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Chairman and CEO of Ilaji Sports and Resorts. The group, led by its National Coordinator, Sheikh Muhammad Yeskuru, visited Chief Sanusi at the Ilaji Resort Central Mosque, where they conducted a special prayer session for his success in the 2027 gubernatorial race.
During the visit, the group’s secretary read a letter announcing the World Tijaniyyah Niyas Group’s upcoming Annual Moulid Nabiyy celebration in Senegal, scheduled for September 16th. The group sought Chief Sanusi’s assistance in transporting its members to the event. Chief Sanusi graciously pledged his support for their journey.
In addition to their prayers, the World Tijaniyyah Movement distanced itself from a malicious publication circulated a few months ago that questioned the faith of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi. The group made it clear that they had no association with the false claims and warned politicians against using their name for cheap popularity. They reaffirmed their trust in Chief Sanusi’s commitment to his faith and leadership.
The group also acknowledged the significance of the Ilaji Resort Central Mosque, which was commissioned by the Grand Imam of Oyo State, Sheikh AbdulGaniyy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, in 2020. The Grand Imam led the inaugural prayer session at the mosque, marking a new chapter for the Muslim Ummah in the region.
Since 2022, Asalatu prayers have been held regularly at the mosque, attracting worshippers from far and near, solidifying the mosque’s status as a central place of worship.
Chief Sanusi, in his response, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the prayers and unwavering support from the World Tijaniyyah Movement.
He emphasized the importance of unity and the power of collective prayers in achieving success, noting that the backing of such a respected religious group was both encouraging and humbling.
The visit and the prayers have further solidified Chief Sanusi’s position as a prominent figure in Oyo State, with widespread backing from influential religious groups as he sets his sights on the 2027 gubernatorial elections.
