You are to Serve Oyo State not Geopolitical Zone, Makinde Charges New Commissioner
Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, this Thursday, sworn -in Barrister Lateef Idowu Oyeleke as the new commissioner for Environment and natural resources to replace late Honourable Kehinde Ayoola who died in May.
The event which took place at the government house, Agodi, Ibadan had in attendance top government officials.
While swearing-in the the new commissioner for environment and natural resources governor Makinde noted that the appointment was not political but based on merit and said that whatever is due to anybody irrespective of political or religious affiliation will be given to such individual.
He further charged the new Commissioner to see the appointment as an assignment to serve the entire state not the assignment that would benefit only the geopolitical zone.
Speaking with GOALPOACHER NEWS correspondent, the new Commissioner promised to live up to expectations and vowed to eradicate dumping of refuse inside drainage and would try as much as possible to immediately initiate public enlightenment
He added that the ministry will put measures in place to change the architectural environment of the state to make the environment cleaner and healthier.
