ZERO WASTE INITIATIVE: “Clean Median Without Waste Bins”, Ibadan Becoming Neater

His Excellency,
Egnr Seyi Makinde,
The Executive Governor of Oyo state.

Clean Median Without Waste Beams.

Few weeks ago, and till date, I noticed that our roads are free of the large green solid waste beams especially, at Oje market. I wondered where the beams were taken and disturbed when they were never returned till date. “What has Seyi Makinde gotten off his sleeves”, I asked myself. Won’t the disappearance of these always over filled to the brim waste beams cause much more environmental hazards to the citizens.

I also noticed that since the disappearance of the solid waste beams, the roads, the routes from Gate area to Gbenla to Oje to Beere are neater. The street median are not littered with uncountable sacks of putrefied waste. The air enveloping my hood at Temidire is comparable to what obtains at Kolapo Ishola Estate. “Ashipa, is there anything you are missing”, I kept ruminating.

Then, I started asking questions from those stakeholders in the solid waste management industry. I was told there is a new order of waste collection introduced at no extra cost to the government and populace by a new sheriff in town named
————- MOTTAINAI —————

And the CEO, one young man named Comrade Adey Adewuyi.

I may never meet this CEO Adey Adewuyi, but I just want to kudo him and inform His Excellency, Egnr Seyi Makinde, that this
“ZERO WASTE INITIATIVE” introduced by MOTTAINAI seems a long lasting solution to the recalcitrant issue of waste disposal in Oyo state.

And if what I heard about MOTTAINAI isn’t media hype, that it costs the government of Oyo state ZERO NAIRA, ZERO NAIRA, to get to this level. And that very soon, MOTTAINAI would be remitting IGR into the government purses.

MOTTAINAI and CEO Adey Adewuyi, may your business never get ruined.
And to the performing Governor Seyi Makinde, in the voice of a chieftain of the Oyo state APC, Barrister Shittu,

Ismail Ashipa, Oyo PDP Chieftain writes from Temidire Oje, Ibadan.
