    2024 Public Service Week: Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun led Ministry of Culture and Tourism Scoops Double Awards

    The Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Oyo State under the visionary Commissioner, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun has been recognized and awarded at the 2024 Public Service Week and 2023 Productivity and Merit Award Day held on Wednesday at the Civil Centre, Agodi.

    The Ministry of Culture and Tourism was declared 2nd runner-up in the 2023 Most Outstanding Ministry while Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun led the members of the Ministry to receive the Award from Governor Seyi Makinde.

    Also, from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mrs Agboola Mulikat Adejoke, Director, Tourism (HAP) emerged winner among staff of the Ministry as the most efficient civil/public servant in management staff on GL 13 and above category for 2023 outstanding awardees.


    Earlier, Professor Adesola Ajayi, Vice Chancellor, Abiola Ajimobi Technical University delivered lecture on ”Enhancing the Skill and Knowledge of Public Servants to Meet the Evolving Societal Needs”.

    The don, stressed that public servants are the backbone of government operations, he highlighted necessary skill and knowledge they must posse for them to deliver as expected and elevate operation of government for maximum benefit of all and sundry in the country.

    Governor Makinde in his closing remarks appreciated the support the Civil/Public Servants in the state for the unwavering commitment in raising the bar of governance in the state.

    He reinstated his administration commitment to welfare of all workers in the state.
