The executive chairman of Oluyole local government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has said that his administration has fully aligned with the visionary leadership and inclusive governance of governor Seyi Makinde in its 2025 budget preparation.

This, Olatunji said, will be reflected in the implementation of the budget when finally presented to and passed by the Oluyole Legislative House.

The council boss stated this while addressing newsmen yesterday shortly after the Stakeholders Consultative Meeting on 2025 Budget of Ibadan Less City hosted by Oluyole local government.

The Stakeholders Consultative meeting on the 2025 Budget which held yesterday, October 4, at the Council Secretariat, Idi-Ayunre, Ibadan, aims to directly engage people at the grassroots in order to gather inputs regarding their concerns and aspirations ahead of the next fiscal year for local government administration.

Speaking with journalists, Akeem Olatunji harped on the importance of participatory governance in shaping the future of Oluyole local government.

He stressed his administration’s belief that the best decisions usually emanate from listening to the demands and aspirations of the people.

Olatunji, who reeled out some of his achievements within the first 100 days in office, assured that the feedback gathered from the stakeholders meeting would be taken seriously, and promised to prioritize their concerns in the 2025 budget for Oluyole local government.

“This stakeholders meeting is a platform for people at the grassroots to voice their concerns and aspirations for our local government.

My administration in Oluyole local government is fully committed to not only hearing their voices but also act on the suggestions made in both the preparation and implementation of the 2025 Budget.

“We can not afford to do anything differently from the examples laid down for us by our overall political leader and mentor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, and as such, Oluyole will continue to engage with the people to help us formulate policies and programs that directly impact their lives.

“Our goal is to ensure that every naira spent in the implementation of our budget contributes to the betterment of Oluyole, ” Olatunji said.
