The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, today joined thousands of party faithful and supporters at the Unity Mega Rally organized by the Grand Alliance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to demonstrate unwavering support and loyalty to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.
Hon. Alawode stormed the rally venue alongside his numerous supporters from across the local government, reaffirming his strong commitment to the progressive leadership and developmental strides of Governor Makinde.
Speaking at the rally, Governor Seyi Makinde officially declared his intention to contest for the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the forthcoming general election on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
The Governor called on Nigerians from all walks of life to support his vision of good governance, national unity, economic prosperity, and people-oriented leadership capable of transforming the nation for the better.
Hon. Alawode described Governor Makinde as a visionary, courageous, and result-driven leader whose achievements in Oyo State have continued to earn him admiration across Nigeria.
He stated that the massive turnout of supporters at the rally was a clear indication that the people appreciate genuine leadership and are ready to support a movement that prioritizes the welfare of the masses.
The council boss further assured Governor Makinde of the continued support and loyalty of the people of Ibadan South East Local Government, stressing that the Grand Alliance would continue to work together for the progress and development of Nigeria.
The Unity Mega Rally witnessed the presence of political leaders, stakeholders, youths, women groups, and supporters from different parts of the state and beyond, all united in solidarity and hope for a greater Nigeria.
