All roads lead to the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Monday, September 21, as the much-anticipated Boye Nation and JAF Movement Concert brings together music, youth engagement and political activities in what is expected to be one of the major youth gatherings in Oyo State this week.
The event, organised under the Young, United and Unstoppable (YUU) platform by the Boye Nation and JAF Movement, is expected to draw young people from different parts of Oyo State for a day of entertainment, networking, interaction and political engagement.
Beyond the entertainment, the gathering will feature the formal declaration of Boye Nation for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), giving the concert an important political dimension ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to reports on the event, members of the movement are expected to be formally received into the APM fold, with Governor ‘Seyi Makinde expected to attend the occasion in his capacity as the party’s presidential candidate.
The development has generated considerable attention because of the youth-oriented nature of the event and the political movement associated with Boye Nation. Reports identify Ajiboye Akande Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, and Otunba Joseph Adeseye Famojuro of the JAF Movement as key figures behind the mobilisation.
The organisers have positioned the YUU platform around the themes of youth, unity, participation and togetherness, making the concert more than a conventional entertainment programme.
For the APM, the expected declaration also comes at a period when the party is expanding its campaign structures ahead of the 2027 elections. The party has publicly emphasised citizen empowerment and youth participation among its stated objectives, while its Oyo State campaign structure includes a dedicated Youth Wing.
The entertainment component is equally expected to make the event a major attraction, with Fuji and Afrobeats stars including Alabi Pasuma, Taye Currency, Tiri Leather and Qdot listed among the headline performers. Other artistes billed for the concert include Babatunmise, Kanmi Jackson, Ope Federal, Zammy Tee, Ododo Emi and Adigun Oriyomi, among others.
The programme is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m., with the Adamasingba venue expected to provide the setting for a convergence of entertainment, youth networking and political activity.
The event is also coming on the heels of other youth and women-focused mobilisation activities linked to the APM campaign structure in Oyo State. A recent report said a solidarity walk involving about 1,000 women is expected to take place on Monday, moving from the Oyo State Secretariat in Agodi towards Lekan Salami Stadium as part of activities surrounding the gathering.
As attention shifts towards Adamasingba, the Boye Nation/JAF concert is therefore shaping up as a significant meeting point for Oyo youths, entertainment personalities and political stakeholders.
For supporters of the event, Monday represents an opportunity to place youth participation and political engagement at the centre of the conversation, while the expected declaration of Boye Nation for the APM will provide an additional political talking point ahead of the 2027 elections.
