    2027: Hon Olalere Solomon Resigns From PDP, Appreciates Makinde, Party Leaders and Supporters

    The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for Akinyele Constituency 2 in the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election, Hon. Olalere Ajibola Solomon, popularly known as ERE, has officially announced his resignation from the party.

    The development was disclosed to the public after his resignation letter was duly written and directed to the Ward 12 PDP Chairman on Thursday, May 7, 2026, through a statement released by his Media Team, a move that has since generated reactions across the political landscape in Akinyele Local Government and beyond.

    Speaking on the decision, Hon.Olalere Ajibola Solomon ERE explained that his resignation came after deep personal reflection and careful consultations. According to him, the decision was necessary as he prepares for the next phase of his political journey and commitment to the people of Akinyele Constituency 2.


    “I sincerely appreciate the Peoples Democratic Party for the opportunity and relationships built over the years, but at this point, I believe it is time to move forward. This decision was made with careful consideration and in the best interest of my political aspirations and the people I want to represent,” he stated.

    Hon.Olalere Solomon ERE further expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, alongside party leaders and stakeholders across the state, Most Especially Akinyele Local Government, for their leadership, mentorship, support, and cooperation throughout his stay in the PDP. He equally appreciated political associates, supporters, youths, and women groups in Akinyele Local Government for their steadfast loyalty and encouragement over the years.

    Reaffirming his ambition and dedication to public service, Hon. Olalere Ajibola Solomon ERE assured the people of Akinyele Constituency 2 that his resolve to deliver quality representation at the Oyo State House of Assembly in 2027 remains unshaken. He added that his next political platform would be unveiled soon, while promising to remain committed to the growth, development, and welfare of the constituency.
