    ‎As preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections in Oyo State, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency is witnessing a renewed push for unity, following a major conciliatory move by its consensus candidate, Kolawole Sheu Adedeji after his candidacy was officially ratified by Governor Seyi Makinde.

    He appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde and all PDP leaders, stakeholders and members for ensuring that the will of the people prevails.

    ‎In what observers have described as a strategic and unifying step, Adedeji has extended a hand of fellowship to other aspirants who contested for the party’s ticket, calling for collaboration and collective commitment toward the party’s success.

    ‎He stressed that the journey toward victory cannot be achieved in isolation, but through inclusiveness and mutual respect among all stakeholders.

    ‎According to Adedeji, every aspirant brought value, vision, and dedication to the process, and their contributions remain essential as the party moves forward.

    ‎He noted that the consensus arrangement should not be seen as the end of competition, but the beginning of stronger cooperation aimed at delivering victory for the PDP.

    ‎He urged his fellow aspirants to close ranks and channel their energy into strengthening the party’s grassroots appeal, emphasizing that unity at this stage is critical.

    ‎Adedeji reassured them of his willingness to work closely with everyone, adding that his leadership would be open, accommodating, and focused on shared goals.
