The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, has received members of the Ogo Gbajumola Group from Wards 1 (Oke-Oba) and 5 (New Eruwa), who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the APM.

The group was convened by Prince Bayo Olaniyan, Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin.

During the engagement, the new APM members raised concerns about issues affecting their communities and pledged their support for the party and KSA’s candidacy.

One of the defectors, Mr. Adeyemo Sunday, popularly known as Majala, from Ward 1, cited what he described as abandonment by the APC as one of the reasons for his decision to join the APM.

Speaking on behalf of the Fulani community, Alhaji Riquah Galadima Eruwa also pledged the community’s support for the APM, while representatives of the women’s group appealed for empowerment opportunities.

Mr. Adebola, a former Ogo Gbajumola Coordinator and former President of the Eruwa Youth Movement (EYM), commended KSA for his ₦1 million contribution to the EYM ICT Centre project.

He further appealed for support for the Youth Hall and Library projects in Eruwa.

Similarly, Comrade Ayorinde Samson urged KSA to establish a central database to document requests and concerns raised by voters and community members, noting that such a system would help keep proper records and facilitate timely interventions.

Responding, KSA welcomed the new members and solicited their support for his House of Representatives ambition.

He also called on them to support other APM candidates, including Engr. Seyi Makinde for President, Hon. Stanley Adedeji Odidiomo for Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for Oyo State Governor, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin for Ibarapa East State Constituency and Hon. Kazeem Arogundade for Ibarapa East Local Government Chairmanship.

KSA reaffirmed his commitment to supporting communities across the constituency and donated ₦300,000 to the group.

The engagement formed part of KSA’s wider campaign tour across Ibarapa East, with visits to communities and groups in Eruwa and Lanlate.

At Atilola Estate, Oke-Ola and Aborerin in Eruwa, KSA visited residents as part of efforts to support the reopening of a resuscitated borehole intended to improve access to water in the communities.

He also engaged members of the National Association of Lanlate Students (NALS), where discussions focused on issues affecting students and young people in the community.

At Ward 8 in Lanlate, Ibarapa East Local Government, KSA received members of the APC and ROCOF who defected to the APM. The new members were led by Mrs. Adeniyi Taiwo, the Ward 8 representative.

The APM Chairman in Ibarapa East, Alhaji Ganiyu Aderibigbe, alongside the APM Oyo South Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Kamoru Adeyemi, formally received the defectors and presented APM party emblems to them.

KSA also held a meeting with Eruwa stakeholders led by Chief Samuel Oladeni, Evangelist Gabriel Ayankunle and High Chief Ikolaba of Eruwa.

During the meeting, prayers were offered for KSA’s success in the 2027 election.

The series of engagements provided KSA with an opportunity to interact with residents, students, community leaders, youth groups and political stakeholders on issues affecting Ibarapa East and the wider Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.

The campaign tour also featured discussions on community development, youth empowerment, education, infrastructure and other concerns raised by residents.
