The growing grassroots mobilization of the Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF) received another major boost as the Diesel Injection Pump and Nozzles Association of Oyo State officially appointed the Founder of OBF, Oloye Benedict Akika, JP, the Àgbàákín Olorunda-Abaa, as the Patron of the association.

The endorsement took place during a courtesy visit by the association’s state executives to Akika’s residence, where they reaffirmed their confidence in his leadership, philanthropy, and commitment to grassroots development.

Speaking on behalf of members across Oyo State, the association’s President, Adeola Bakare, accompanied by Vice President Engr. Lawal Muyideen, Secretary Engr. Abiodun Lawal, and Public Relations Officer Engr. Sanusi Kamorudeen, commended Akika for his unwavering support for artisans, youths, and community development.

The association also declared its total support for all candidates of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in the forthcoming elections, describing the party as a platform capable of sustaining the developmental strides witnessed under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.

According to the association, Governor Makinde’s achievements in infrastructure, workers’ welfare, and people-oriented governance inspired their decision to align with Akika’s grassroots political movement and support the APM’s candidates across the state.

In his response, Oloye Benedict Akika appreciated the association for the honour bestowed on him, assuring members of his continued commitment to promoting their welfare and advancing policies that will improve the lives of artisans and small business owners.

Akika, widely regarded as a grassroots mobilizer and a close ally of Governor Seyi Makinde, Akika reiterated his resolve to work with stakeholders across Oyo State to ensure the success of all APM candidates while sustaining the vision of good governance and inclusive development.
