2027: Arole Iba Oluyole Declares Support for Ogunsola Ahead of Election
The political momentum gathering around the House of Representatives ambition of Otunba Olusina John Ogunsola received another major boost as the Arole Iba Oluyole and Baba Isale Musulumi of Ibadanland, Alhaji Nureni Akanbi, openly declared his support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) aspirant.
The endorsement came as Ogunsola paid a courtesy visit to the respected Ibadan elder to formally present his ADC nomination form and seek his blessings ahead of the forthcoming general election.
The visit, which attracted political associates, community leaders and supporters, was described as another significant step in Ogunsola’s growing political movement within Oluyole Federal Constituency.
Speaking during the meeting, Alhaji Nureni Akanbi commended Ogunsola for his humility, commitment to the people and consistency in grassroots development over the years.
According to him, “Otunba Olusina John Ogunsola has demonstrated sincerity of purpose and dedication to the welfare of the people. Leaders who have genuine concern for their communities deserve encouragement and support.”
He further prayed for wisdom, strength and success for the ADC aspirant in his political journey, expressing optimism that Ogunsola would continue to contribute positively to the development of Oluyole Federal Constituency and Ibadanland at large.
Responding, Ogunsola appreciated the elder statesman for his warm reception, prayers and fatherly support, describing the visit as a moment of great honour and encouragement.
He said, “I have come to seek the blessings of our revered father and respected leader because elders occupy a vital place in our society. Their prayers, guidance and support remain invaluable.”
Ogunsola added that his aspiration was driven by a genuine desire to serve the people and deliver quality representation that would prioritise youth empowerment, community development and improved welfare for constituents.
The ADC aspirant also reiterated his commitment to inclusive leadership and grassroots engagement, stressing that the people of Oluyole deserved purposeful representation and sustainable development.
The latest endorsement came amid increasing support for Ogunsola across the constituency following his decision to obtain the ADC House of Representatives nomination form.
In recent days, several members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), had openly declared support for his ambition, with many describing him as a grassroots politician with deep connection to ordinary people.
