2027 Power Play: Sanusi Adopts OTOPE as Preferred Candidate for Egbeda/Ona Federal Constituency

…Sets Federal Constituency Ablaze with Grassroots Revolution

As political permutations ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum, the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency has been thrown into the national spotlight following a sensational declaration of support by the revered Okanlomo Oodua, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi.

In a move already being described by political observers as a game-changer, Chief Sanusi formally adopted Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) as his preferred aspirant for the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, sending waves of excitement across the two local governments.

Speaking with unmistakable conviction, Chief Sanusi made it clear that his decision was rooted in shared values, people-centred leadership and a long-standing commitment to grassroots development.

“My initiatives align perfectly with the vision and character of OTOPE. This is not about politics of noise, but politics of impact. I have watched him, I have studied his journey, and I am convinced that he represents hope, capacity and sincerity,” Sanusi declared.

The Okanlomo Oodua, known for his influence across the South-West and his deep cultural and political clout, emphasised that OTOPE’s record of service speaks louder than any campaign slogan.

“He has consistently supported the downtrodden, artisans, traders, students, teachers and transport stakeholders across Ona Ara and Egbeda. These are the people politics should serve, and he has been doing this long before seeking any office,” Sanusi noted.

The endorsement has further energised OTOPE’s growing support base, with many describing the alliance as a fusion of experience, integrity and youthful drive. For Chief Sanusi, the choice was straightforward.

“On this note, his ambition has received my blessings and total support. In any political party where he secures the ticket, my stand is clear and unwavering.”

Reacting to the endorsement, Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji expressed deep gratitude, describing it as both humbling and motivating.

“To receive the backing of a leader of Chief Sanusi’s stature is a call to greater service. This is a mandate to do more for our people and to ensure that Egbeda and Ona Ara take their rightful place in national development,” he said.
