The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Chairman of all Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Lajue, has applauded the strategic alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration in Oyo State and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), describing it as a bold and progressive step toward strengthening democratic stability, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.

Speaking at the Unity Mega Rally held at Mapo, Hon. Sanda Sikiru noted that the alliance reflects the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, whose administration continues to attract widespread support across political divides through its commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, economic growth, and people-centered policies.

He further commended Governor Makinde’s presidential declaration, describing it as a courageous move toward national rebirth. According to him, the governor possesses the experience, competence, and leadership capacity required to reposition Nigeria and restore public confidence in governance.

Hon. Sanda therefore called on Nigerians, irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious affiliations, to support the emerging presidential ambition of Governor Makinde. He emphasized that the nation needs leaders with proven track records, accessibility, and a clear vision for development.

“Nigeria needs a leader who understands governance from the grassroots to the national level—one who prioritizes capacity building, economic reforms, youth empowerment, infrastructure, and national unity. Governor Seyi Makinde has consistently demonstrated these qualities and has what it takes to lead Nigeria toward a more prosperous future,” he stated.

The Council Chairman also urged political stakeholders, youths, women groups, professionals, and community leaders to embrace progressive alliances that promote development and good governance, stressing that unity among patriotic leaders is vital for sustainable national growth.

He reaffirmed his unwavering support and loyalty to the Makinde administration, expressing confidence that the governor’s leadership style will continue to inspire political transformation across Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

Hon. Sanda concluded by encouraging citizens to remain hopeful, peaceful, and actively engaged in the democratic process, noting that collective responsibility and visionary leadership are essential for building a stronger and more united nation.
