    79th UNGA: CSCHEI Honoured Global Partners With Ambassadors For Humanitarianism, Goodwill Awards

    In a prestigious ceremony held during the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Side Event, four distinguished individuals of the Civil Society Organization on Community Advancement and Humanitarian Initiatives (CSCHEI), were celebrated for their outstanding contributions to humanitarian efforts and goodwill initiatives.

    The event, organized by Merited Negotiation Consulting in collaboration with CSCHEI and Strategic Groups, USA, aimed to honour those who have dedicated their lives to making a positive impact in their communities.

    The awards were presented by Ambassador Evariste Karambizi, the Director of the Peace Division at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research in Geneva, and Ambassador Robin Renee Sanders, the former U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria.

    Both ambassadors spoke passionately about the recipients’ unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes and the importance of their work in promoting social and community development.

    The recipients of the prestigious awards were, Dr. Okere Sylvester, who was named Ambassador of Humanitarianism for his tireless efforts in advocating for underprivileged communities and promoting sustainable development initiatives.

    His work has significantly improved the lives of many facing adversity.

    Hope Sullivan was also awarded the title of Ambassador of Humanitarianism and was recognised for her impactful work in disaster relief and her dedication to improving the lives of those affected by humanitarian crises.

    Her commitment to service has inspired countless individuals to engage in humanitarian efforts.

    In the same vein, Kayode Adewunmi also received the title of Ambassador of Goodwill, known for his extensive outreach programmes that foster cultural understanding and cooperation among diverse communities.

    His initiatives have bridged gaps and built lasting relationships across different cultures.

    Chiw Ling Wang, who was honoured as Ambassador of Goodwill, has made significant contributions to international education and advocates for global citizenship.

    Her efforts in promoting educational opportunities have empowered many individuals to pursue their dreams.

    During the ceremony, Ambassador Sanders emphasized that the awards are not only a recognition of individual achievements but also a call to action for the awardees to use their influence to inspire others.

    She encouraged the recipients to leverage their experiences and networks to further enhance the development of Civil Society Organizations, particularly in the realms of community advancement and humanitarian empowerment initiatives.

    In his remark, Kunle Yusuff, the Director General of CSCHEI, echoed this sentiment, urging the awardees to continue their vital work in humanitarian efforts. He stated,

    “Your commitment to serving humanity is commendable, and we hope you will use this recognition as a platform to drive change and inspire collaboration among organizations dedicated to similar causes.”

    The event which was marked by a spirit of collaboration and unity, brought together leaders from various sectors to discuss pressing global challenges.

    The recognition of the CSCHEI ambassadors highlights the critical role of individuals in fostering humanitarian values and goodwill, reinforcing the importance of community engagement and social responsibility on a global scale.
