Shasha Mayhem: What Seriki, Others Said About Makinde, Amotekun
The Seriki Shasha Alhaji (Dr) Haruna Maiyasin Katsina has commended the Amotekun corps of Oyo state for their professional conduct in restoring and maintaining law and order in Sasha, Akinyele Local Government during a courtesy visit by the second in command of the corp Mr Akinro Kazeem Babalola and the Media Unit of Amotekun, Oyo state on Wednesday, the 16th of February, 2021.
The Seriki Shasha thanked the Amotekun corps for their efforts at protecting the lives and properties of innocent citizens during the last crisis that engulfed the community.
He prayed against the reoccurrence of such calamity.
Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin also commended the efforts of the governor His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde for his efforts at seeking lasting peaceful solution in the community.
In the same vein the Seriki Hausa of Akinyele, Alhaji Ado expressed his satisfaction at the ways and manner by which Amotekun operatives discharged their duties without fear or favour.
He affirmed that doubts hitherto expressed about the creation of the agency has been cleared.
Similar commendation and appreciation were expressed by the Kara Hausa Community in Akinyele Alhaji Umaru Jayil, while Alhaji Yaro Abubakar the chairman of the Hausa community in Akinyele who also thanked the governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and describe him as a true and reliable leader.
He also charged Amotekun operatives to continue their good works of protecting all without tribal, creed or status biases.
Alhaji Abubakar while urging people to ignore the rumours that Amotekun operatives were colluding with the hoodlums also applauded the corps operatives at Akinyele local government and their coordinator Mr Sunday Babalola for their prompt response.
In his response, the second in command of Amotekun, Oyo state corps Mr Akinro Babalola implored the Seriki Sasha and every well meaning member of the community to continue in helping to flush out the bad and criminal elements in the community and Oyo state in general.
He further reiterated the readiness of Amotekun, Oyo state to synergize with the community to rid it of crimes and violence.
