The new Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Commandant Michael Akintayo Adaralewa, on Thursday, vowed that the organisation will synergise with other security agencies to ensure that the state becomes ‘hot’ for criminal elements to operate in.

He stated this during a courtesy call to the office of Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency OYRTMA’s Boss, Mogaji (Dr) Stephen Fagbemi, extolling his commitment and dedication to duty.

GOALPOACHER NEWS quoted Adaralewa as saying,
“We NSCDC always leave up to expectation from the word ‘civil. We believe no agency is superior to each other as we are all working towards the same goal. If OYRTMA is dealing with Traffic Management, which is part of safety on our roads and NSCDC dealing with security of the environment and the society, everything still boils down to security. It is to ultimately make Oyo State safe and to ensure peace reigns in the state.

“While we are doing that, whether you are FG’s or state’s agency, so far you are domiciled in this state, we owe you the duty to synergise with one another to identify the areas of weakness and strength of an organisation. When you maximise these things, the society will be better for all of us.

“Members of the public should know that there is a new Sheriff in town from NSCDC and, as you can see, we are partnering effectively with other security agencies to rid this state of criminals.

“I want to sound a note of warning to every criminal elements to be very far away from Oyo State because we are going to make things hot for them. This state must experience unprecedented peace and the people should be rest assured that this time around, they can go to their bed with their two eyes closed.

“I resumed two weeks ago. And in the little briefing I received from my office, OYRTMA officers have scored high mark. Personally, I have also witnessed OYRTMA boys performing excellently on the road.

“I have also come here today to seek attestation to the fact that you guys are doing well in terms of your dressing and approach to communication. It shows you guys are disciplined. Discipline starts from dressing because the way you dress is the way you will be addressed. So, I commend the Chairman because he is really doing a good job and we will be ready to support him in all areas to take this state to greater height.”

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi appreciated the new Commandant of the NSCDC saying that his agency was happy to welcome him to the state.

Fagbemi added that the two bodies will continue to synergize based on their operations.
