Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has told the people of the state to be wary of politicians who do not have their interest at heart.
Makinde stated this on Thursday at the commissioning of 8.2km Agodi-Gate-Old Ife Road to Adegbayi.
Goalpoacher News quoted the Governor as saying that his administration would not be distracted by those who have started the 2027 race with propaganda.
Makinde urged Oyo State residents to stick with his vision and he remains resolute in the delivery of good governance to the people.
“As we commission this project, it is another time to remind the good people of Oyo State to stay with the vision.
“Do not be distracted by people who do not have your best interest at heart. We can already see them starting 2027 propaganda.
“It is not even a year after the last election. Well, for now, we are concentrating in delivering good governance to our people and not what will or nor happen in 2027.
“We are determined to deliver on our 2023 mandate and ensure that good governance continues in our dear state.
“As for those who are already planning to succeed me in 2027, God will see us through beyond 2027, and he will choose the best for our state.”
