Cholera: Hon Sikiru Sanda Urges Egbeda Residents to Take Precautions
The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Ambassador Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, today warned the general public, especially residents of Egbeda Local Government, of a high rage of cholera outbreak in the area.
The Chairman, in a statement, made available to newsmen at the council secretariat, urged residents to take immediate precautions to protect themselves and their families from the spread of the disease.
“We have been informed of the recent high increase in cholera cases in recent weeks, especially in Lagos, and we want to alert the public to take necessary precautions to prevent further spread,” the Chairman said. “We urge everyone to keep their environment clean, drink safe water, and eat food that is well-cooked and handled hygienically.”
The Chairman also advised residents to, wash their hands frequently with soap and water, use clean water, and promptly report immediately to health officials of any suspects of disease in and around them.
