The Chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, paid an unexpected visit to the Secretariat Staff Clinic today, August 6th.
During his visit, Dr. Fagbemi toured various units within the clinic, including Medical Records, Nursing Department, Dental Department, Physiotherapy, Doctors’ Consulting Rooms, and Pharmacy.
The Chairman identified areas for improvement and suggested the addition of essential units, such as a Dietician Unit, to promote preventive healthcare through nutrition education.
He noted that the new unit will enable staff to receive guidance on healthy eating habits, enhancing their overall well-being and productivity at work.
Dr. Fagbemi interacted with clinic staff, including Dr. Oyeyiola Oyelaran Tunde, Nurse Folaranmi F. F, Pharmacist Sulaimon, and others, acknowledging their dedication to serving the Secretariat community.
He commended the team for their hard work and encouraged them to continue delivering exceptional service.
To further enhance the clinic’s operations, Dr. Fagbemi recommended appointing key personnel, including a Medical Officer, Dental Officer, Hospital Secretary, Maintenance Officer, Security Officer, and a gardener.
He emphasized the importance of continuous learning and professional growth, urging staff to expand their knowledge beyond their current roles. Dr.
Fagbemi’s unscheduled visit demonstrates his commitment to improving healthcare services in Oyo State and his willingness to engage with frontline staff to achieve this goal.
