JUST IN: Water Flows Again from Asejire Water Plant as Hon. Elias Adeojo Assures Steady Supply to Ibadan Residents (Video)
The Chairman of the Oyo State Water Corporation, Hon. Elias Adeojo, has assured that residents of Ibadanland can look forward to a steady and reliable water supply once again, as the Asejire Water Plant has resumed operations after a period of disruption.
During an interview with Goal Poacher News, Hon. Adeojo confirmed that the Asejire Water Plant is now fully functional and delivering water to the distribution network most importantly, Agodi Water Reservoir which connects to urban centres in the capital city.
This he said, comes as a relief to the residents of the affected areas who had been facing intermittent water supply due to the discovery of major leaks in the water distribution pipes serving the areas.
Hon Adeojo commended His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde who he said has made supply of pipe borne water a top priority of his administration.
“We are pleased to announce that the Asejire Water Plant is now operational and providing water to the affected areas. Our teams have worked tirelessly to resolve the issues and restore regular water services to Olope Meji, Erinmi, Olode, Adegbayi and its environs.
“The temporary disruption was caused by the discovery of major leaks in the water distribution pipes, which necessitated the temporary halting of water supply to prevent flooding and further damage.
Adeojo praised the affected residents for their patience and understanding during this period.
“Providing our citizens with access to clean, potable water is a top priority for the Oyo State Water Corporation.”
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and we are committed to ensuring that the water supply remains reliable and uninterrupted going forward.”
“With the Asejire Water Plant now back in operation, residents can look forward to a steady and consistent water supply in the days and weeks ahead,” he assured.
