Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has praised the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde, over the upgrade of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan.
In his statement on Thursday, September 19, 2024, Hon. Adepoju described Governor Makinde’s move to upgrade the airport as a brilliant effort that will culminate in not only economic growth of Oyo State but also global connectivity that will result in rapid growth of the pacesetter state.
The lawmaker said the Governor’s intention for transformative development is inspiring, noting that the airport will create job opportunities, stimulate local economies and facilitate international relations when completed.
The lawmaker also congratulated the people of Oyo State on the latest development, saying the infrastructural, environmental and socio-economic benefits of the project will significantly improve every sector of not just the state but also its environs.
However, the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character expressed his undaunted confidence in Governor Makinde’s leadership, praising the support of the good people of Oyo State towards Governor Makinde in achieving his visions and missions for sustainable development of Oyo State since 2019.
