JUST IN: Makinde Names Saki Township Road After Late Michael Koleoso
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has enjoined political gladiators and their supporters to imbibe politics of development practised by elder statesman, late Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso.
Governor Makinde gave the advice at the funeral service of the former Secretary to Oyo state government, held at Ajegunle Baptist church, Saki, Oyo State.
The Governor who recounted qualities, priority and contributions of the deceased for the growth and development of Saki and Oyo State, hinted that he will by next week sign into law, bill to rename Oke-ogun Polytechnic, after Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso.
Governor Makinde who also renamed Saki township road after the deceased, said in his honour, he would rehabilitate Saki-Ogboro-Igboho road, refurbish technical college in Ibadan and Saki and approve appointment of permanent secretaries from Oke-ogun zones.
Earlier speaking, President Bola Tinubu, represented by Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue services, Zaccheus Adedeji, promised to work with Oyo State Government to immortalize the elder statesman for his contribution to national growth.
In his sermon, tagged “The joy of death” President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, Reverend Israel Akanji, urged humanity to prioritize and pursue heavenly goals.
Prayer was offered for the family, the church, Oyo State and Nigeria at the event to celebrate life of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso, who was born on April 30th, 1938 and died on 2nd September, 2024 at the aged of 86.
