The PDP Chairman Caretaker Committee in Ekiti State, Hon Dare Adeleke has strongly condemned the statement made by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje.
Published reports that the party is set to ‘capture’ Ondo State as a gateway to capture Oyo and Osun States by the APC Chairman seems to have stirred the hornet’s nest among stakeholders.
Hon Adeleke in a telephone conversation with Goalpoacher News reporter, described the statement as unfortunate and disgraceful.
He said: “The expansionist agenda as unveiled by the APC National Chairman, ex – Governor Abudullahi Ganduje is most unfortunate and disgraceful.
“However we are not surprised that the APC has planned a total takeover of the South West akin to the delusional expansionist agenda of the Nazis during the Second World War.
“We can see what they did in Edo State, where Ganduje and their chicanery and brazen disregard for the people’s wish was the order of the day.
“The APC in it’s archaic desperation to conquer more territories, caused and created mayhem in Edo at the Local Government Collation Centers, tear gassing the people with the aid of Federal government police, injuring and dispersing voters just so they can carry out the gravest miscarriage of justice ever witnessed in Edo State.” Adeleke noted.
He however sent a stern note to Ganduje and leaders of the APC that Ekiti will not be an easy meat to chew:
“Ekiti is going to be an impossible piece of meat to swallow, for the APC. Any attempt to scuttle the elections or import violence to Ekiti will spell their Waterloo.
“They may have their moles and lapdog in the person of a serial betrayer , Ayo Fayose but I assure them that Fayose will be fully and finally disgraced if he ever attempts any of those shenanigans in Ekiti again.”
Adeleke concluded by appealing to all PDP stakeholders and members to be vigilant and mindful of the alleged plans of the APC to take Ekiti by force: “I am calling on all PDP members in Ekiti to be very vigilant and mindful of the plans of the APC to occupy Ekiti by hook or vy crook. They already have a mole whose modus operandi is known to all of us. Fayose is like the fabled king who walked around naked, thinking that everyone was seeing him in robes of gold silk. In his arrogance and vain mind, only he could not see that he was naked. Fayose, you are naked before the people of Ekiti. Your time has passed and this next election will be the last straw to bring your disgraceful political career to a final end, if you do not change,” Adeleke warned.
“The people have rejected APC all around Nigeria, therefore God has rejected them. Vox Populi, Vox Dei”, he emphasized.
