Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North, Hon. Lateef Adebare Akorede, on the occasion of his birthday.
In his congratulatory message on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Hon. Adepoju described Akorede as a pillar of strength and one who calls the shots during critical and opportune times.
The lawmaker remarked that Hon. Adebare has given meaning to the idea of youth inclusion in governance, acknowledging his strides in charting a monumental course as a council boss for the development of Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
His words: “Over the years, I have had a very robust political relationship with Hon. Akorede, who I describe as a smooth operator and hidden gem. His love for his community is unparalleled and how he goes to any length just for his people to be better off is worthy of emulation.
“I strongly believe that transformative development can only occur when governments at all levels collaborate effectively. I am grateful to God for the gift of His Excellency, Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde and the dedicated two local government chairmen in my federal constituency, who are prioritising development in all aspects of life, of which Hon. Akorede also sits in that position.” He said.
The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character commended Akorede for his exemplary and visionary leadership style, which, according to him, is deeply rooted in humility, collaboration, transparency and public trust.
The Ibarapa-born lawmaker cum technocrat wished Akorede longevity, sound health and more accomplishments, charging him to continue his commitment to all-encompassing leadership for the people of Ibarapa North.
