Abidikugu Felicitates Christians, Other Nigerians On Christmas, New Year Festivities
A United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant and founder/Chief Executive Officer of Daka Foundation, Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu popularly known as KSO has extended his heartfelt greetings to Christians across Oyo State and Nigeria as they celebrate Christmas which marks the birthday of Jesus Christ.
Abidikugu also rejoices with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, Olubadan-in-Council and Nigerians as whole as they move into the New Year 2025, saying he wish them the best in everything they lay hands on in the New Year.
In a message he personally signed on Wednesday, Abidikugu who is popularly known as KSO and is adored for his philanthropic gestures said Christmas embodies the fulfilment of divine prophecy and symbolises the triumph of love, peace, and unity.
He called on Nigerians that they should celebrate with modesty saying the recent tragic events that took several lives in Ibadan, Abuja and Okija called for a sober reflection.
According to him, “as we celebrate our minds and thoughts are with those who suffered from heartbreaking incidents in Okija, Abuja and more particularly the lost of innocent children souls in Ibadan.
“The recent tragic events in the three cities of Ibadan, Abuja and Okija deeply sadden me and other Nigerians. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families and we symphatise with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State , Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Dr Nyesom Wike.
“So as we celebrate this festive season, we should be mindful of those facing difficulties. At Christmas, we reflect on the humble, symbolic and divine birth of Jesus Christ. In addition, we reflect on his message of hope, compassion, salvation, reconciliation, forgiveness and peace.
“The sound of hymns, exchange of gifts and best wishes that usually characterized the celebration of the festive holiday, also provide us the much needed courage, aspiration and commitment to create a better society in which all humans are treated equally, virtuously and with dignity.
“This year’s observance of the Christmas season comes at a time when our beloved people in Ibadan, Okija and Abuja are mourning the avoidable loss of several people who struggle to get foodstuffs which ordinarily should be afforded without much desperacy.
“Our heart goes out to the families that have been subjected to unbearable circumstances and harsh conditions at this time of the year.
“As we prepare to usher in a New Year, let those of us, who are privileged to witness the dawning of the New Year, give praise and thanks to the Almighty Allah for His many blessings bestowed upon us as a a people.
“The arrival of a New Year is a time of reflection of looking back on accomplishments and of things left unfinished.
“May your Christmas be filled with magical moments and your new year be filled with endless possibilities. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your loved ones”.
