The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Seun Olufade, has congratulated Hon. Akinwale Akinwole (popularly known as Wolekanle) and other newly appointed members of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, as well as the new members of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing).

Hon. Olufade, in a statement issued through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, described the appointments as a well-deserved recognition of excellence and a call to greater service.

He celebrated Hon. Wolekanle, who was appointed as the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, using him as a point of contact to felicitate with all other appointees.

The Ibadan North council boss praised Governor Seyi Makinde for appointing credible and competent individuals, adding that their selection underscores the governor’s commitment to strengthening governance at all levels.

“I heartily congratulate Hon. Akinwale Akinwole (Wolekanle), and other distinguished appointees.

Your appointments are a clear reflection of your dedication, loyalty, and passion for service.

I am confident that you will all bring your wealth of experience to bear in moving Oyo State forward,” Hon. Olufade stated.

He further prayed for divine wisdom and guidance for the appointees, urging them to discharge their duties with diligence, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Recall that Governor Makinde, through a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, approved the appointments, which are subject to confirmation by the Oyo State House of Assembly for the Local Government Commission roles. The appointments take immediate effect.

The full list of those appointed into the Local Government Service Commission includes Hon. Akinwale Akinwole (Chairman), Mr. Yusuf Ali Akinkunmi (Full-Time Member), Alhaji Oke Taiwo (Full-Time Member), Mr. John Abisoye Adisa-Oke (Part-Time Member), and Mrs. Nike Arewa (Part-Time Member).

Similarly, new members appointed into the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) include Abdu Rahman Agbotomokekere, Amusat Ayyub Agboola, Dawud Afolabi, Latifat Dairo, and Mallam Abdusallam Abdullateef.
