As Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan Southeast Local Government marks four years in office, residents of the local government have come together to celebrate his impactful leadership and the transformative changes implemented during his tenure.

From infrastructure development to community empowerment initiatives, Alawode’s administration has made significant strides in enhancing the quality of life for residents.

In a series of community gatherings, they expressed their gratitude and admiration for the chairman’s dedication.

“I have never seen a leader so committed to the welfare of the people. Hon. Alawode has genuinely listened to our concerns and worked tirelessly to address them. Our roads are better, and the availability of clean water has improved significantly,” a resident said.

Another resident, Mr. Samuel Ojo, noted, “His administration has prioritised youth empowerment. The vocational training programmes have equipped many young people with skills to start their own businesses. This is a legacy that will benefit our community for years to come just like Governor Seyi Makinde is doing in the state.

According to them, Alawode has focused on education, ensuring that local schools receive the necessary resources.

“The renovation of our schools and provision of learning materials have made a huge difference. The children are now more motivated to learn, and it shows in their performance.

In his response to the accolades, Hon. Alawode expressed gratitude to the community, saying, “It has been an incredible journey, and I am deeply honoured by the opportunity bestowed on me to serve by our amiable and indefatigable Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde our GSM.”

“Your kind words really serve as motivation for me. My commitment has always been to serve and uplift our community. Together, we have achieved so much, but there is still more work to be done.”

The chairman also emphasised the importance of community involvement, adding that, “I believe that effective leadership is a partnership with the people. Your support and feedback have been invaluable in guiding our projects and initiatives.

“With a strong foundation laid for us by our amiable Governor, we will surely deliver more dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of Ibadan Southeast Local Government,” Alawode assured.
