The Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Oluokun Peter Olusola, has presented electric motorcycles to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.
The distribution exercise, which took place at the local government Secretariat cmplex, saw beneficiaries drawn from various groups, including ward chairmen, local youth leaders, representatives of the Muslim community, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and party leaders across Oyo East Local Government.
While addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Oluokun extolled the efforts of Governor Makinde in improving the living conditions of the people, particularly at the grassroots level.
He noted that the provision of electric motorcycles is part of the governor’s broader initiative to empower communities and enhance mobility and economic activities.
The chairman also commended the guidance and support of Sen (Dr) Monsurat Sunmonu, describing her as relentless in her commitment to the success of Governor Makinde’s administration.
Hon. Oluokun urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the electric motorcycles, emphasizing that the gesture is meant to support their daily activities and improve their productivity.
In her goodwill message, Senator (Dr) Monsurat Sunmonu expressed deep appreciation to Governor Makinde for his generosity and impactful leadership.
She stated unequivocally that no previous administration in the state has matched the level of performance demonstrated by the governor.
She also used the opportunity to commend the peaceful coexistence and unity between the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Muslim community in Oyo East, describing it as a model worthy of emulation.
Furthermore, she praised Hon. Oluokun for his humility and attentive leadership style, noting his willingness to listen to the people.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, representatives of CAN, the Muslim community, and party leaders expressed profound gratitude to Governor Makinde for what they described as his kindness and people-oriented governance.
They offered prayers for the continued success of his administration and for greater achievements in the state.
