    Sheriff Adeojo Flags Off Dredging of Rivers, Streams

    In order to prevent perennial flooding in Omi-Apata Local Council Development Area, the Caretaker Chairman of the council Hon Sheriff Adeojo has flagged off dredging of streams and rivers.

    During the flag off which took place at Alaaka area of the council, Hon Sheriff Adeojo warned residents to desist from dumping refuse in waterways such as streams, rivers and drainages in order to prevent flooding.

    He said the dredging exercise will cover Omi-Adio, Gbekuba, Abese, Jamoje, Alaaka and Akuru. The council chairman then assured the people of Omi-Apata LCDA of his administration’s commitment to the development of the council area.

    All the benefitting communities appreciated the chairman for embarking on the dredging exercise.
