The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has mourned the passing of Pa James Olawunmi Morantiola, describing his departure as the end of a remarkable era defined by faith, wise counsel, peaceful living and enduring influence on many lives.

Describing his death as a monumental loss not only to his families but also to the Christian community and Ibarapa Central at large, Hon. Adeleke noted that Pa Morantiola lived an exemplary life defined by faith, humility, wisdom and selfless service to humanity.

In a condolence message signed by executive chairman, he described the late centenarian as a devoted Christian, a committed member of the Baptist Church and a man whose life inspired many through his steadfast belief in God and dedication to nurturing souls in the Christian faith. Beyond spiritual guidance, he was also known for mentoring people to live honourably, uphold good values and build enduring legacies worthy of remembrance by future generations.

According to Hon. Adeleke, Pa Morantiola was widely respected for his peaceful nature, wise counsel and lifelong commitment to raising individuals who contribute positively to their families, communities, and society at large.

“The passing of Pa James Olawunmi Morantiola at the remarkable age of 103 is the departure of a generation of wisdom, faith and integrity. He was a man whose life reflected devotion to God, love for humanity and an uncommon commitment to shaping lives. His teachings extended beyond faith, he inspired many to live responsibly, serve others and leave behind legacies that would continue to speak long after their departure,” the Chairman stated.

Hon. Adeleke further emphasized that the late Pa Morantiola’s century-long journey remains a testimony to a life spent serving God, uplifting others and planting values that continue to flourish in the lives of many.

The Chairman extended his heartfelt condolences to members of the Baptist Church, the bereaved family, friends and all who mourn the passing of the elder statesman. He acknowledged the pain his departure has brought, especially among those privileged to benefit from his wisdom, mentorship and spiritual guidance.

As a fellow member of the Baptist faith, Hon. Adeleke prayed that God grants the entire Morantiola family, the Baptist Church community and loved ones the strength and comfort needed to bear this irreplaceable loss.

He concluded by praying that the soul of Pa James Olawunmi Morantiola finds eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord and that his enduring legacy of faith, peace, mentorship and righteous living continues to inspire generations yet unborn.
