The Caretaker Chairperson of Orire Local Government Ikoyi Ile,Hon (Mrs) Lydia Monilola Bankole has appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for extending the tenure of office of all Chairmen/ Chairpersons of LGs and LCDAs in Oyo State.
Hon(Mrs) Lydia Monilola Bankole commends Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given her to serve the people and to follow suit in the character of Your Excellency as a man of your word to carry out her duties in better ways and move in absolute support of all your administration’s agenda.
The Council boss then assured the Governor that she will not disappoint the confidence bestowed on her by bringing more dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the people of Orire LG Area.
While highlighting some of her achievements since assumption of office which includes grading of roads in Wards One, Two,Three and Five, repairs of boreholes, production of piggery to boost agriculture.
She promised the people that efforts are being intensified in the provision of social amenities (such as boreholes and rural electrification in the council area.
The Council Chairperson however appealed to all caretaker members,traditional rulers,PDP leaders,party members,men and women, youths, artisans to continue to support and cooperate with her administration in order to take Orire LG to an enviable height.
She also thanked the management and staff of the council for their unalloyed support.
