WORLD YOUTHS SKILL DAY:Oyo Government Trains 200 In Vocational Skills
No fewer than 200 youths have completed their training on some vocational skills organised through the office of the Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Youth and Sports, Kazeem Bolarinwa in conjunction with the National Youths Council, Oyo State chapter.
Hon Kazeem made this known on Wednesday in commemoration of the World Youths Skill Day in Ibadan where certificates were presented to participants at the vocational skills.
He said, ” 200 youths were trained in different vocational skills in line with Governor Makinde’s vision for the teeming youths of the state.”
“Our commitment to skills acquisition is based on the fact that it is the most proven solution to combating unemployment, reducing poverty and youth restiveness in the state.
The training was done in collaboration with the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter. While the participants were trained in different vocations such as: tie and dye,wig making, graphic design, face mask production, hand sanitisers production
