Fatokun Hails Oyo Police, others on the Rearrest of Akinyele Serial Killer, Advises Against Future Occurrence
The lawmaker representing Akinyele constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Ayotunde Fatokun has expressed confidence in the state commissioner of police, Mr. Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu and other groups for their efforts at getting the suspected serial killer in Akinyele Local Government, Sunday Shodipe rearrested on Sunday, adding that the state is fast getting freed from the long dominated security challenges in the state.
The Chairman Parliamentary Council made his feelings known to newsmen in Ibadan. According to him, “the rearrest of the notorious guy should send a strong warning to other assailants in our local government that sooner or later, the law will catch up with them.”
“I commend the state commissioner of police and other groups who collaborated to ensure Shodipe’s rearrest.
“Well, we are aware that security is one of the four cardinal points in the administration of Engineer Seyi Makinde. The police and other security agents must justify the humongous resources the Governor has committed to the state’s security architecture”
Fatokun however advised the police to increase surveillance on the suspect to avoid his escape from custody the second time.
