The African Democratic Congress, (ADC), House of Representatives Candidate for Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency, Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu popularly known as KSO has admonished Fathers across Oyo State and Nigeria at large for their sacrifices and dedication to their families as Father’s Day 2026 is marked globally.
Father’s Day in 2026 is celebrated on Sunday June 21. It is observed annually on the third Sunday of June in Nigeria and many other countries worldwide.
Abidikugu in a statement he issued and personally signed on Sunday rejoices with Fathers, saying they are the pillars of Nation building
He said the influence of fathers extend beyond their homes, noting that the values, discipline and principles they instill in young people contribute significantly to the development of a responsible and cohesive society.
In paying tributes to father figures, Abidikugu said they play great role as mentors and role models, noting that their positive influence has continues to impact lives and help in raising future leaders in the country.
Abidikugu, the Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland and a known philanthropist said in the statement, “Today I personally rejoice with the fathers across Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole on the occasion of this year’s father’s day.
“I urge you to remain steadfast in your roles as the guidance of children and homes. More important as the sources of encouragement to your families and your contributions to the Nation’s building, societal values and growth and development of the country cannot be over emphasized.
“I pray God will continue to endow you with wisdom and patience to lead the nation aright. As you go out daily to provide for your family’s needs, God will continue to protect you. I celebrate your loves and courage. Have a nice and joyous 2026 Father’s Day”
