The governorship candidate of Accord in the 2023 election, Bayo Adelabu, will rejoin the All Progressives Congress, APC, next Friday. Oyoinsight has learnt.
Recall that Adelabu, now the Minister of Power left the party in the build up to the 2023 gubernatorial election following the emergence of Senator Teslim Folarin as the governorship candidate of APC.
This led to mass defection of APC chieftains and political gladiators to Accord while others who remained in the party worked against the ambition of Folarin.
With Adelabu, Senator Ayo Adeseun and other gladiators returning to the opposition party in the state, there are indications that the National Working Committee of the party may dissolve the structure of the party so as to give everyone sense of belonging.
Recall that the list of interim committee emerged few weeks ago but the Publicity Secretary of the party, Wale Sadare dismissed the list in circulation.
The present structure of the party is controlled by Teslim Folarin.
