In a continued effort to improve access to basic amenities and support economic activities at the grassroots, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has commenced the drilling of a borehole at the New Aiyedade Market in Idere.


The initiative is aimed at providing a reliable source of clean and potable water for traders, residents and visitors within the market environment, thereby enhancing hygiene, promoting public health and easing the daily challenges associated with water scarcity.


Speaking on the development, Hon. Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering people-oriented projects that directly impact the lives of the people. He also acknowledged the support and visionary leadership of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whose administration continues to prioritize grassroots development across the state.


“This intervention is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the welfare of our people, particularly in busy commercial areas where access to water is essential for daily activities. We are determined to ensure that our communities enjoy better living conditions,” the Chairman stated.


Reacting to the development, Alhaji Moruf, Chairman of the Idere Butchers Association expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Chairman for what he described as a timely and impactful intervention. He noted that the borehole project would greatly ease the burden of water scarcity faced by traders and improve sanitation within the market.


Other traders and residents also commended the initiative describing it as a welcome development that will enhance hygiene and create a more conducive environment for business activities.




The borehole project at New Aiyedade Market further highlighted the administration’s dedication to sustainable development and its resolve to provide practical solutions that uplift communities across Ibarapa Central Local Government.
