The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke on Thursday convened a high-level Strategic Peace and Security Meeting aimed at strengthening safety, cooperation and intelligence-sharing across the local government area.

The meeting held at the Legislative Building Secretariat brought together all security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Lead by Area commander ACP Ruth, Civil Defence Corps, Agro-Rangers, and other relevant security outfits alongside traditional rulers, community leaders and key stakeholders. The gathering provided a platform for open dialogue on prevailing security concerns and proactive measures to sustain peace in Ibarapa Central.

In his message made available by his personal assistant Azeez Sodiq while addressing participants, Hon. Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, describing security as the cornerstone of development and community confidence. He emphasized that no meaningful progress can be achieved without a safe and stable environment.

“Our administration remains deliberate and strategic in addressing security matters. We will continue to work closely with security agencies, traditional institutions and community leaders to ensure that Ibarapa Central remains peaceful, safe and welcoming for residents, investors, and visitors,” the Chairman stated.

Key security challenges affecting communities were carefully reviewed during the session, while practical solutions, intelligence coordination and community engagement strategies were jointly mapped out. Participants unanimously agreed on the need for continuous collaboration and timely information-sharing to prevent threats before they escalate.

Traditional rulers at the meeting commended Hon. Adeleke for his inclusive leadership approach, noting that his proactive engagement with security stakeholders has further strengthened trust between government, institutions and the people.

All Security agency representatives also expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s consistent support and readiness to provide necessary logistics and administrative backing to enhance operational effectiveness across the local government.

The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to sustain periodic security consultations as part of Hon. Adeleke’s broader governance framework focused on peacebuilding, grassroots engagement and sustainable development.

Under Hon. Olusola Adeleke’s leadership, Ibarapa Central continues to record progressive strides in consolidating peace, fostering unity and creating a secure environment for socio-economic growth.
