In a move to cushion the effects of corona virus pandemic on the poorest  of the poor in Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, the Special Assistant to Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Youths and Sport Honourable Kazeem Bolarinwa’s palliative train on Wednesday touched down at  Ona-Ara Local Government Area of the state to distribute food items to members of the community.

Bolarinwa, who ensured that the beneficiaries observe  high level of hygiene and social distancing handed out face masks and various food items to the people under strict supervision and orderliness coordinated by security operatives.

Speaking with GOALPOACHER NEWS at the Ona-Ara Local Government Secretariat, Akaran, where the distribution took place, Bolarinwa said due to the escalating global economic impact of the pandemic, many economies around the globe have witnessed reduced economic activities, people can no longer carry out activities that put food on their tables which has subjected many to hardship. This brought about the initiative to reach out to them.

He urged the people to be their brothers keeper, lend a helping hand to others struggling to survive this difficult time as we are all into it.

Bolarinwa encouraged the people to take their safety as priority by washing their hands regularly, maintaining good hygiene and adhering strictly to the safety precautions as directed by the government.
