The Director General of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) and Executive Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Agribusiness and International Cooperation Development, Dr. Debo Akande DBA CMGR FCMI, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Oyo State Government towards sustainable Agriculture and environmentally friendly farming practices as the state prepares to make the next generation another guru in Agribusiness.

The Oyo State Government, through the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) and the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agribusiness Project (YEAP), has commenced the disbursement of financial support to qualified beneficiaries through their respective Agricultural Credit Cooperation of Oyo State (ACCOS), further demonstrating its commitment to empowering young Agripreneurs across the state.

The disbursement exercise marks another significant milestone in the implementation of the YEAP initiative, a flagship programme designed to create sustainable employment opportunities, enhance food security, and promote Agribusiness development among youths in Oyo State.

Beneficiaries who have started receiving the funds expressed appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde for keeping faith with the promises made to participants of the programme. Many described the intervention as timely and impactful, noting that it would enable them to expand their Agricultural enterprises, increase productivity, and contribute meaningfully to the state’s economy.

Speaking on the development, beneficiaries commended the transparent process adopted by OYSADA and ACCOS management, emphasizing that the initiative reflects the administration’s dedication to youth empowerment and economic growth.
The commencement of the disbursement through ACCOS is expected to strengthen cooperative societies while ensuring accountability and effective utilization of the funds by beneficiaries.
Stakeholders have also lauded the leadership of OYSADA under Dr DEBO AKANDE for maintaining the momentum of the programme and ensuring that participants continue to enjoy the benefits envisioned by the state government.
As the exercise progresses across various local government areas, beneficiaries remain optimistic that the support will further boost Agricultural production, create additional employment opportunities, and reinforce Oyo State’s position as a leading hub for Agribusiness and youth-driven development in Nigeria.
The development once again underscores Governor Makinde’s administration’s resolve to translate promises into tangible results, with beneficiaries describing the disbursement as a clear testament to a government that prioritizes the welfare and economic advancement of its people.
